Senior Software Engineer

Cisco India is seeking Software Engineers to help build the next generation of Cloud Security products transition to SASE and SSE capabilities. Cisco is a leader in Networking and Security, our customers are looking to stay ahead and transform from using MPLS to the internet, and adopt SDWAN solutions with seamless security services in the cloud.

As a member of this team, you will design, implement, deploy, and monitor high-performance network service functions and a control plane that scales to thousands of nodes and large-scale customer adoption and sustenance. Explore industry and academic research to apply new ideas. Troubleshoot complex customer issues that require a deep understanding of network protocols and systems-level concepts.

We are looking for developers with 5 years and more experience and are interested in the Security and Networking domain with a broad and deep understanding of Systems and Distributed computing with intimate knowledge of Linux and other Operating systems. We would prefer if you can demonstrate hands-on experience in building and supporting products and services with cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure, Google, or OpenStack.

You are adept at one of the following languages: Python, Golang, or C/C++, but can learn and improve the tools the team uses. You understand Linux system internals You possess a deep understanding of TCP/IP and UDP, and have implemented protocols like IPSEC, IKE, and HTTP/2, QUIC. Experience with the high-performance user-mode data plane.

You write readable, testable, and maintainable code strong and clear communicator that can concisely explain complex software design considerations

You are passionate about end-to-end feature delivery and ownership with an eye on simplified configuration and management. Familiarity with routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, and RIP for highly scalable systems will be a plus.
